Have you always been thinking about mountains and yourself standing on the top of a peak, surrounded by glaciers and gorgeous ridges? Than this is course for you.

You will learn basic skills on rock that every mountaineer needs to start his first climbs to rocky peaks. You will learn how to tie the knots and use the rope on different types of terrain, use different equipment for protection, belaying, ascending and descending.

Day by day program
Day 1
Meeting in Almaty at 8:00 in the morning. Transfer to Tuyuk-Su camp (2450 m). Acclimatization walk to 3000 m. Equipment check.
Practicing in tying different types of knots to be used in mountaineering.
Lectures about dangers in the mountains.

Day 2
Rock massive near the camp.
Scrambling through an easy terrain. Top rope belaying and climbing. Descending on a fixed rope.
Navigation in the mountains.

Day 3
Rock massive near the camp.
Advanced practice on the rocks. Points of belay and building anchors. Belaying a leader. Leading the climb. Ascending on the rope.

Day 4
Climbing Amangeldy peak 3999 m via South-Western ridge (PD-).
Going down to Almaty.

The schedule can be changed due to safety, weather and group conditions.
